    Description

    1928 GRAY GREEN UNIFORM
    EXCELLENT CONDITION
    1928 introduced an entirely different uniform made in the "flapper" design popular at the time.  it was the first of many uniform changes in an attempt to stay up to date with the clothing popularity.  This uniform show very minimal wear and has held up amazingly well.  The fabric is crisp and solid and the insignia is nicely sewn on.  Notice that three of the badges are Gray Green from 1928 and two are Silver Green from 1938 indicating a long membership for this Girl Scout.  Also notice the COLORFUL WINGS.
    From 1927-1931 Brownies who earned the right,
    "flew up" to Intermediate Girl Scouts with these colorful wings.  Obviously with this short period of availability, they are quite rare.  Measurements as follows: 16 inches across the shoulders, 23 inches across the armpits, and 44 inches shoulder to hem. (A 2 inch has been let out, but barely show any discoloration.  I almost missed it.)
