Intermediate & Junior Girl Scout Uniform
This
ELASTIC BELT AND METAL BUCKLE
should be familiar to most Girl Scouts over 50 years old.  It was first introduced in 1948 with the new Intermediate Uniform dress.  (Previously the uniform required a heavy webbed belt.)  This belt is very light weight.  The buckle is also lighter-weight than the previous buckle and measures approximately 2 inch X 1 inches counting the mechanism.  These belts are in Excellent Pre-owned Condition.  On some there is a name written on the underneath side, but otherwise they look almost new.  This style stayed as an official part of the uniform from the Intermediate Dress in 1948, through the Junior Dress of 1963.   It was finally discontinued in 1973.  Here are the sizes, keep in mind they
stretch from 5 additional inches to 8 additional inches
:  23.5” 24” 26.5” 28” 29” 30” 31” 32”  This is perfect for the Collector, could be used for display or fashion shows, and would be an authentic touch.
