    Description

    WINDSOR TIE, NO GS or TREFOIL
    1949, Unusual 39" X 6"
    There were MANY variations of color, size and trefoil designs to the Windsor Girl Scout Tie.  The distinguishing characteristic on this tie is that it has
    NO TREFOIL and not even a G.S.
    The 1949 Girl Scout Catalog has no explanation as to why the identifying trefoil is missing, but the thoughts include that the Camp Uniforms are not "Dress Wear" and thus the tie shouldn't show the "dress insignia."  I have three colors and several of each, but I will list them separately with a new picture for each.  They vary extensively in condition due to camp wear.  This one is the best of the YELLOW colored ones with only a few hard to see dots of soiling. (This yellow is different in that it is light weight and somewhat transparent.}   Check my store to see the Green and the Gold Camp Ties.
    NOTE:
    What does not show in the picture is what remains of the name that is stamped in ink that says, "Karen D???"  I'm even guessing at the first name... it is very faint.
