● VINTAGE mode for classic tones
In 1982, the OC-2 debuted as the world's first modern octave pedal.
Its warm and powerful sound can be heard on many historical masterpieces, and is still loved by guitarists and bassists around the world.
OC-5's VINTAGE mode uses the latest tracking technology to deliver the OC-2's iconic monophonic sound with a more natural response.
The two LEVEL knobs adjust the volume of the -1 and -2 octave sounds, respectively.
You can also use the DIRECT LEVEL knob to balance the direct sound and the effect sound, so you can control the sound as you wish.
- Enhanced POLY mode
Another feature of the OC-5 is the smart POLY mode, which is a further evolution of the polyphonic octave first used in the OC-3 Super Octave, and fully supports chord playing.
The RANGE knob allows you to specify the effected band, so you can create -1 octave sounds for melody lines and chords as you like.
Also, by setting the RANGE knob to LOWEST, you can get an octave sound only for the lowest note of the chord.
New +1 octave sound
OC-5 can get +1 octave sound in both VINTAGE/POLY mode.
You can simulate the glittering sound of a 12-string guitar, add thickness to chords by combining it with a -1 octave sound, or add a fat unison sound with +1 octave to increase the presence of solo performances. I play an active part in various uses.
● GUITAR/BASS switch and DIRECT OUT jack
By switching the GUITAR/BASS switch on the pedal body, you can optimize the tracking engine for each guitar/bass for the best possible performance.
In addition, the DIRECT OUT jack makes it easy to output the direct sound and effect sound separately to a mixer, audio interface, or two stage amplifiers.
