    Description

7 1/2" tall  x 4" wide, this light cobalt blue decanter is part of a set of six limited-edition (1215)  Clevenger Glass Works bottles handmade by them in 1975 in celebration of North Carolina's contributions or "firsts" in freedom during the Bicentennial in 1976. It is embossed as shown with information about this Mecklenburg event, and has  a "C" on one side of the pontil base and a "B" on the other side of the base indicating Clevenger Brothers. It also has a sticker identifying it as being blown by them. It has a cluster of small air bubbles near one area of the lip. The item is called a Reproduction since it reproduces the decanter form used in earlier centuries, but its color, design, and information embossed are original.
