The original FROG named "HERSHEL" transformed into an adorable canvas weight.  Hershel has numerous "cousins," each with its own unique personality. The personality of each FROG will help you decide how you want to make it your own.  Colors and designs of all the "cousins" vary widely, some conservative and others suggesting  specific themes. As shown in the close-up photo of the orange sample, stitches can create a great deal of texture to compliment the main design elements.
A hand out with suggested ways to create your FROG is included with each canvas.  Stitching can be as simple or complicated as you choose.  You may decide to fill the entire FROG with stitches or opt for a more delicate appearance but using lace like stitches.  Finish your FROG with coordinated fabric and add weight using the filling of your choice.  While designed as a canvas weight, you might choose to stuff with batting and use as a pin cushion.
However you choose to create your frog, "Hershel" is sure to be admired at your next needlepoint workshop!
