Hello and welcome!
I'm selling a used Netgear PLP1200-100PAS Powerline 1200 kit. I used it for a while between two floors of the house, but switched to a different solution. It worked well while it was in service!
Powerline is a technology that enables data to be carried over your home electrical wiring, instead of running Ethernet wires around the house. You plug the devices in outlets in different parts of your house, then pair them by pressing a button. Then you run an Ethernet cord out of the Powerline adapter to another wired Ethernet device.
Please note this is NOT a wireless extender. It doesn't do anything for your WiFi. You'd use this for example to connect a device that supports a wired Ethernet connection but not WiFi, or that supports both but is located in a part of the house where the WiFi reception isn't good.
The advertised 1200 Mbps throughput is for optimum conditions, your results may vary. You probably already know that if you're looking at this item. Many factors play into Powerline functionality and performance, not the least of which is the quality/modernness of your electrical wiring.
Finally, while this kit normally comes with two 6' Ethernet cables, those are NOT included. You'll only receive the Powerline adapters. What you see in the pictures is what you'll get.
