    This is the THIRD choice of, "pre-tied" TIES for the GSA 5-B Adult Uniform of 1948.  The first two went around the neck, but in 1955 this "Silk Clip On" style was available.  I have had it for decades, but never found the rayon blouse that it went with.  Perhaps one of you Historians or Collectors can use this RARE style.  It appears to be unused and is very CLEAN.  It measures approximately 4.25" x 3".
