Vintage Early Mortens Studio Harlequin Seated Great Dane Figurine 7 1/2" Rare
For your consideration is this rare Mortens Studio Harlequin Great Dane.  This majestic Dane stands about 7 1/2" tall an is in good condition with crazing and flaking as is common for their dogs of this medium and age, but no breaks or repairs. (
Morten Studio  sculptures begin with a metal and wire frame over which is pressed and shaped a mixed medium of
plaster/ceramic before being
painted and glazed.)
He has a copyright symbol on his backside and "COPYRIGHT by the MORTENS STUDIO" stamped on the bottom.  I believe this to be an early work.  Please enlarge the photos and to see the condition.
