    Description

    Have you ever seen a child light up when he gets a chance to play beautiful music? I sure have, and it’s wonderful!
    As a professional pianist, private piano instructor, and Director of Music for a Montessori Preschool, I have spent many years sharing my passion for music with children. Along the way, I have developed and taught a very unique and successful early childhood music program, and have written many supplemental music books to enhance my program.
    World of Harmony Music is a music program like no other. In my books "Fall / Winter" and "Winter / Spring", I have set lyrics to dozens of pieces of classical music, words which teach students the title of the music, the composer, and fun facts about the composer and his music. I then created sheet music with these lyrics for a beautiful little instrument called a zither, made by Appalachian Spirit Folk Instruments, Music Maker, Melody Harp, T.K. O'Brien's, and Small World Toys. (Please note that these sheets may not work with other zither brands, and definitely do NOT work with First Act or Hape Happy harps, as the size or tuning may be different. You could trim the edges of my books to fit First Act and Hape Happy Harps, but you may lose a couple of beginning or ending notes. If so, you could fill those in by hand on your cut sheets. Music Makers often have the word "Nepenenoyka" printed on them.
    Instruments not included!
    )
    The books are wire-bound into easy-to-use music books. You just flip to the music you'd like to play, and place the whole book under the strings of the zither. Pluck the strings in the order shown on the sheet music, and immediately play the world's most beautiful music!
    Anyone can immediately play beautiful music, regardless of musical training or natural ability. It just couldn’t be easier! I’ve watched “children” ages 3 to 90+ enjoy playing this music, as it’s so much fun for everyone!
    Whether you’d like this music for your own enjoyment and education, you’d like to teach children of your own, or you’d like to teach your own classes to students of any age, my books will make that goal so easy and so much fun!
    This collection of 24 Appalachian folk songs was so much fun to write! For each song, I watched several different videos on YouTube so I’d get a good feel for each song. I think I’ll always remember the reaction of my sweet little blue parakeet, Gilly. He just sang his heart out so happily while I was watching those videos! He loved every minute of my research. I hope that playing these songs will bring that much happiness into your home, too. Some of the songs have optional harmony notes or even chords that you can play for a richer sound. If that sounds too tricky, just watch my videos and play right along with me. You’ll get the hang of it in no time. On YouTube, just search for the song name plus Debbie Center zither, and the video should come right up. Then we can play the song together! Of course, you could always choose to just play the melody if you prefer.
